How many positive commandments does a Kohen who skips Birkat Kohanim violate?

PrayerBirkat Kohanim

Synopsis

The Mechaber rules that a Kohen who fails to ascend when present in synagogue and called — or told to go up or wash his hands — violates three positive commandments, not merely one. The Aruch HaShulchan elaborates that these three are: 'thus you shall bless,' 'say to them,' and 'they shall place My name.' The Magen Avraham clarifies the violation only applies if the Kohen uprooted his feet at Retzei or was told to go up before Retzei.
