When a second reader begins by repeating verses already read by the first reader, how many additional verses must they add for their aliyah to count?
Synopsis
If a second reader begins from a verse the first reader already read, they must add at least three new verses (or two where impossible) for their aliyah to count. If they add nothing new, the aliyah does not count toward the required number.
