When multiple types of fragrances are before a person (tree, herb, and other), must one recite a separate blessing for each, or can one blessing cover all?
Synopsis
The Mechaber rules that each type gets its own specific blessing l'chatchila. The Rema, citing the Tur, rules that 'borei minei besamim' recited over all of them b'dieved satisfies the obligation — and implies it may even be done l'chatchila.
