Does a keli rishon (first vessel) continue to cook after it is removed from the fire, and may spices be added to it?
Synopsis
The Mechaber rules that a keli rishon continues to cook as long as it is yad soledes bo, even after removal from the fire. Spices may not be added, but salt may, as salt requires as much heat as beef to cook. The Rema adds that unsalted meat is also forbidden in a keli rishon.
