Once meat has roasted to the level of ma'achal ben Derusa'i (half-cooked) before Shabbat, is it permitted to leave it on the coals into Shabbat?
Synopsis
Once food has reached ma'achal ben Derusa'i, the concern of coal-stirring no longer applies since the food is edible and stirring would ruin it. The Mechaber permits even beef to remain on the coals once this threshold is reached.
