Does the Rambam's interpretation of 'Poreis al Sh'ma' follow Rashi or the Geonim?
Synopsis
The Aruch HaShulchan surveys two major interpretations of 'Poreis al Sh'ma': Rashi (a portion/slice of the Sh'ma blessings, said by a representative for latecomers) and the Geonim (one person begins reciting Sh'ma blessings for those who cannot do so alone, requiring ten people). The Aruch HaShulchan demonstrates that the Rambam follows the Geonim.
